You can delete this guide once you are comfortable with the process. In this system, every product must be linked to at least one collection, though some products may belong to several simultaneously.

Example: Stainless Steel Cup

1. Collection 1: All Cups

2. Collection 2: Acrylic Cups

Using Smart Collections and Tags

To connect a product to a collection, use TAGS. When setting up a collection, you will see options for "+ Add Condition" usually on right hand side on the PC.

1. Click TAG

2. Type in the EXACT tag you want to use and type it in. This will be the exact tag you use for all products you want in this collection and will be automatically added once the product has the tag.

Why this matters:

• If a customer wants to browse all your cups, they can click a general "All Cups" collection and see every item tagged with "Cups."

• If they only want to see Acrylic options, they can view a specific collection that filters for only the "Acrylic cups" tag.

Example: Shirts

Consider your shirt inventory:

• You might have two different products (long sleeve and short sleeve) that both use a general "t-shirts" tag.

• To get more specific, create a "Short Sleeve" collection and only apply the "short sleeve" tag to those specific items. Repeat this for your "Long Sleeve" collection.
